Ekaterina "Katia" Dmitriyevna Alexandrovskaya (Russian: Екатерина Дмитриевна Александровская; January 1, 2000 – July 17, 2020) was a Russian-Australian competitive pair skater. With former partner Harley Windsor, she was the 2017 World Junior champion, the 2017-18 JGP Final champion, a three-time Australian national champion (2017, 2019, 2020), and the 2017 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist.
Personal Life[]
Alexandrovskaya was born on January 1, 2000 in Moscow, Russia. She became an Australian citizen in October 2017. Alexandrovskaya's hobbies included reading, being outdoors, country vacations, and traveling.
On July 17, 2020, Alexandrovskaya died in an apparent suicide after jumping out of a window in Moscow. She left a note behind, which said "люблю" ("I love"). Following her death, her former coach, Andrei Hekalo, had stated she had suffered from depression, and was diagnosed with epilepsy in January 2020, which had prompted her retirement.
