Original composition

An original composition is music made particularly for a figure skating program. It can be made in collaboration with orchestral members, and occurs most frequently in ice dance. As recording music is often expensive, incorporating original music into programs is relatively uncommon. People who have written these compositions include Karl Hugo, Maxime Rodriguez, Eric Radford, and Assen Merzouki.
