Vincent Zhou (born October 25, 2000) is an American figure skater. He is the 2022 Winter Olympic silver medalist in the team event, the 2019 World bronze medalist, the 2019 Four Continents bronze medalist, the 2017 World Junior champion, 2017 Bavarian Open champion, and a seven-time US national medalist (silver 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2021; bronze in 2018 and 2022; pewter in 2020). In February 2018, Zhou became the first person to successfully land a quadruple lutz at the Olympics.
Personal Life[]
Vincent Zhou's hobbies include outdoor activities, music, poetry, reading, writing and hiking. In 2009 his mother Fay Ge quit her job as a computer scientist so she would be able to drive him the six hours from their home in Palo Alto, CA, to Riverside, CA, United States of America to train under Tammy Gambill. He underwent knee surgery to repair a torn right meniscus in September 2013 and missed most of the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. Zhou admires Patrick Chan, Brian Boitano, Michael Weiss, Yuzuru Hanyu, and Richard Dornbush.
